In this series, we will look at the second part (Mark 13:1-14:31) of the third and final section of Mark (chapters 11-16). This portion of the book covers the center days of Passion Week, a time of more intimate teaching and connection between Jesus and his disciples.
In this second message, Jesus completes his monologue about the coming disaster on Jerusalem and reinforces the urgency to be watchful. The people need to be ready for the destruction that will soon come upon them because of the revolts of those who seek an earthly kingdom, but they also need to be observant of the Spirit's wind-like movement to unite them together in service to others.
