In this series, we will look at the first part (Mark 11-12) of the third and final section of Mark (chapters 11-16). This portion of the book covers the first few days of the Passion Week or last week of Jesus' life from the trimphal entry to his teaching in the temple.
In this fourth message, we return to the temple, where Jesus is confronted by the Pharisees, Herodians and Sadducees. The Pharisees and Herodians come to trap Jesus by asking him about paying the imperial tax. The Sadducees come and ask him about about marriage in the resurrection. Jesus counters both questions and points to the eternal significance of how we live our lives each day.
