In this series, we will look at the first part (Mark 11-12) of the third and final section of Mark (chapters 11-16). This portion of the book covers the first few days of the Passion Week or last week of Jesus' life from the trimphal entry to his teaching in the temple.
In this fifth message, Jesus is approached by a teacher of the Law, who asks about the greatest of all the commandments. Jesus responds by tying the Hebrew Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4-5) with the Levitical Law (Leviticus 19:18), showing how our love of God, others and self are intertwined together.
