In this series, we will look at the second part (Mark 13:1-14:31) of the third and final section of Mark (chapters 11-16). This portion of the book covers the center days of Passion Week, a time of more intimate teaching and connection between Jesus and his disciples.
In this third message, Jesus is anointed by a woman who pours fragrant perfume over his head, showing her worth to him. Meanwhile the disciples object, saying that this is a waste. Nonetheless, Jesus affirms the woman's devotion and speaks of her great worth to the gospel message.
