Mark 11:27-12:2, Isaiah 5:1-7
The Temple (pt. 3: Authority Questioned)

In this series, we will look at the first part (Mark 11-12) of the third and final section of Mark (chapters 11-16). This portion of the book covers the first few days of the Passion Week or last week of Jesus' life from the trimphal entry to his teaching in the temple.

In this third message, we spend time with Jesus in the temple as the religious leaders question his authority and he goes toe-to-toe with them philosophically. Then, we see Jesus telling a parable that speaks of the oppression of power, which Mark uses to foreshadow Jesus' soon arrest, beating and crucifixion.
