In this series, we will examine the third cycle of the gospel according to Mark (Mark 6:7-8:21), which will conclude the first half of the book. This section focuses on the movement of the gospel.
In this second message, we look at the compassion that Jesus shows to his disciples and through his disciples to the crowd. The feeding of the 5,000 is the only miraculous event (except the resurrection) that is included in all four gospels. It's significance lies in how Jesus models care for others balanced by self-care.
