Mark 9:30-41
Jesus Messiah (pt. 4: For and Against)

In this series, we will examine the middle section of the gospel according to Mark (Mark 8:22-10:52), which focuses on the developing understanding of the followers of Jesus as his influence expands throughout the region.

In this fourth message, we look at three conversations between Jesus and his disciples. These interactions demonstrate how revolutionary Jesus' kingdom is through inversion of the caste system. Jesus speaks of servants as great, children as welcomed, and even those who are not disciples as participants in the ministry. We are to build inclusion and focus on what we are "for" rather than what we are "against."
