In this series, we will walk through the first part of the gospel according to Mark (Mark 1:16-3:12), focussing on the central question: Who is Jesus?
In this third message, we see Jesus as the great forgiver. We read a story about four friends, who bring a paralyzed man to Jesus. Overcoming obstacles, the lower him down through the roof. Seeing their faithfulness, Jesus tells the man that his "sins" are forgiven. Jesus heals the man from the inside out, amidst the objections of the religious leaders. We, too, can experience freedom from shame, guilt, and brokeness and help others to find healing in Jesus.
