In this series, we will overview and introduce the gospel genre. We wil explore what a gospel is and unpack the opening introduction to the Gospel According to Mark (Mark 1:1-15).
In this second message, we focus on the thesis statement or title of Mark 1:1. We also overview what we are going to study as we go through the book of Mark and give some opening assumptions as we explore the text of "the beginning of the good news" and how Jesus is starting something new--the kingdom of God.
