Isaiah 6:1-13
Worthy of Worship (pt. 3: Holiness)

In this series, we reflect on the importance of worship because we serve a good God. We will consider how worship is more than just singing praise to God, but it also includes biblical motifs such as sacrifice, temple, holiness, righteousness, covenant, and priesthood.

In this third message, we look at the idea of holiness, which in Hebrew is "kadosh." Oftentimes, we think of holiness as moral perfection, but the term speaks of something or someone who is set apart, unique, or distinctive. God is different from the other gods of the ancient world in his being (not just his doing) because he is the great Creator of all things, lives in unity and relational love, and shares his goodness with humans who bear his image. We are called to follow God's example and live distinctive in our world.
